Driftwood Contracting is a full-service residential remodeling company that was born from not only a passion for carpentry and craftsmanship, but more importantly, a simple desire to help people.
From large-scale renovations such as custom kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and outdoor living spaces like decks, to smaller handyman level projects, we bring the same level of craftsmanship, communication, and attention to detail to every job.
Our main goal is to personalize and simplify the overall experience of renovating your home. Whether you’re dreaming big or simply checking off a long-overdue to-do list, our team is here to bring your vision to life and we will work together to find a creative solution that best suits your family’s needs.
ANDY PAPPAS, OWNER
Like a weathered piece of driftwood, Andy has a collection of experiences that have molded him into who he is today. Andy has been fortunate to have lived and worked in many different places. Andy grew up in the northernmost tip of New York state, where he worked and trained under a certified arborist, learning to understand tree care and forestry. From there, he naturally developed a passion for woodworking and carpentry. Andy then moved down to South Florida where he honed his skills in the plumbing trade working primarily on residential beachfront construction projects.
In 2015, Andy moved to Baltimore, Maryland to accept a position as a federal police officer. This departure from the construction industry was an incredible experience where he learned so many skills that he still carries with him today. However, as much of a wonderful experience as it was to work in law enforcement, what he didn't realize was how much he would miss building. Upon moving to Baltimore, Andy almost immediately found himself taking on small carpentry projects that quickly turned into larger renovations.
In 2021, Andy decided that remodeling was not only a passion but where his heart has always been.

and so many of my life experiences have led me to make that decision.
My primary motivation has always been helping others.”
A Word About Sustainability
At Driftwood Contracting, sustainability and energy efficiency are two of our core values.
Although the residential remodeling industry inherently faces unique challenges regarding sustainability, we believe there are many ways to combat this issue throughout the renovation process. We aim to provide thoughtful solutions that will help limit waste, reduce our carbon footprint, and promote the use of materials that are both energy conscious and promote sustainability.
